Having finished as top scorer in the Yugoslav league for two years running, including a haul of 30 which helped his team to a 1994 league and cup double, Milosevic moved to Aston Villa for Ł3.5m. The highlight of his spell at Villa was scoring at Wembley in the League Cup triumph over Leeds in 1996, but he left amid acrimony, transferring to Real Zaragoza. Milosevic scored 17 goals in his first season in Spain and this form has continued on the international stage, with his strike rate for Yugoslavia being an impressive one goal in every two games. He made his Yugoslav debut against Brazil in December 1994, and despite starting three of the Euro 2000 qualifying games on the bench, still managed to score four goals. His deadly left foot and aerial ability should contribute greatly to Yugoslavia's cause at Euro 2000.
